Road Bikes

Hit the road! Specialized geometry, a choice of materials, and other advancements have given riders many options when it comes to road bicycles.

Endurance

Endurance bikes are designed to help you ride miles while capturing the magical feeling of rolling from sunrise to sundown – or, from Sturbridge to Provincetown.

Endurance bikes are the perfect choice for riders looking to make the most of their time in the saddle with lightweight materials, a more upright riding position, and wider tires. Upgrades such as electronic shifting add to the overall experience.

Want to sit a bit taller and upright? A flat-bar version might be just what you need.

Aero and Race

If speed is the name of the game, a race bike is likely what you need. Designed to be more efficient, riders lose a bit of the comfort of an endurance bicycle. Racers of the past will be surprised to find today’s race bikes have ditched the skinny tires in favor of tires that are a bit wider but still roll efficiently.

Pick up even more speed with an aero-bike, which combines some of the aerodynamic features of time trial bikes with the frame of a more traditional road bike. With an aggressive geometry designed to keep the rider low, comfort may be compromised.

Women's Specific

Many bike designers and fit experts agree – when it comes to bicycles for women the key is finding the geometry for each rider.  At STBG that means working with a customer to select the specific bike that is right for them based on their height, proportions, and riding style.

Electric

Class 1 pedal-assist road bikes – meaning no throttle and a maximum assisted speed of 20 miles per hour – can provide riders the boost they need to ride farther, climb higher or stay in the saddle longer.

Yay Bikes!
