Liability Release Disclaimer

Customers and visitors understand that cycling and related activities involve certain inherent risks and responsibilities.

This document outlines the terms and conditions that govern your interaction with Steve the Bike Guy, covering bicycle purchases, service and repair, and the ownership of bicycles.

To ensure a transparent and mutually beneficial relationship, we kindly ask that you carefully read and acknowledge the terms outlined in this Liability Release Disclaimer before scheduling an appointment or availing of any services at our bike shop in Sherborn, Massachusetts.

  1. Bicycle Purchase:
    The Shop is not responsible for defects, damages, or issues related to bicycles or bike parts. Please refer to the respective manufacturer warranties for concerns.

  2. Bicycle Service and Repair:
    Repairs may not be covered by manufacturer warranties and may void existing warranties. STBG is not responsible for any issues post-repair.

  3. Ownership of Bicycles:
    Bicycles brought to STBG for service or repair should be owned by the customer. The Shop is not responsible for any disputes regarding ownership.

  4. Assumption of Risk:
    Engaging in cycling activities involves inherent risks. Customers and visitors voluntarily assume all risks associated with these activities and voluntarily assume all risks associated with these activities, including but not limited to accidents, injuries, and damages

  5. Release and Waiver:
    By using our services and products, customers release waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue STBG, its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all liabilities, claims, demands, actions, costs, and expenses that may arise from my use of the services and products offered by the Shop.

  6. Indemnification:
    Customers agree to indemnify and hold harmless STBG its owners, employees, agents, and affiliates from any and all claims, liabilities, actions, costs, and expenses, including attorney fees, arising from my use of the services and products provided by the Shop.

This notification serves as a reminder that engaging with STBG implies acknowledgment and acceptance of these terms. We encourage all customers and visitors to read and understand this disclaimer before proceeding with any services or purchases.

Refunds

Customer satisfaction is a top priority at Steve the Bike Guy. Purchases made in-person or online are subject to the following policies:

  • Bikes – If you are not satisfied with your new bicycle purchase, return to STBG within 10 days and we’ll replace it if another bike is available, or give you a refund, subject to inspection.
  • Clothing, shoes, components, helmets & accessories – Unused items may be returned to STBG in their original packaging within 30 days of purchase in exchnge for store credit. Receipt is required for returns.
  • Custom clothing – Because clothing ordered through the Verge Sport team store are made to order there are no returns, refunds, or exchanges.

Returns

Items purchased online or in-person may be returned to the Shop. Items shipped back to the Shop will be at the customer’s expense.

Shipping

STBG offers two methods for customers shopping online:

  • Free In-Store Pick Up – Most in-stock orders will be ready within 1–2 business days (Monday–Friday), and we will notify you when your order is ready for pickup. 
  • Shipping – Shipping fee is based on 15% of total order with a minimum shipping cost of $20.  Orders of parts, accessories, or clothing of $200 qualify for Free Shipping. STBG will select the best method of shipping at time of order and will provide a tracking number if available.
  • Shipping is only available to the Contentinal United States
