For the second year, Steve and Kristin will be joining riders in Western Massachusetts at PMC Unpaved, a gravel bike ride raising money for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Pan-Mass Challenge.
The event offers two fully-supported routes of 30 or 50 miles on September 23, 2023, along picturesque forests, lakes, and farmlands through western Massachusetts and New York. (And yes, we did steal that copy directly from the Unpaved website).
As a member of Team Perry, 100% of donations made to Kristin and Steve will go to The Perry S. Levy Fund for Gastrointestinal Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, which focuses on research on cancer of the gastrointestinal tract. According to the American Cancer Society in the United States, colorectal cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men and in women, and the second most common cause of cancer deaths when numbers for men and women are combined. It’s expected to cause about 52,580 deaths in 2022.
