It’s easy being (Celeste) green

At Steve the Bike Guy, we love helping customers get their older, much-loved bikes ready to ride after a pitstop at STBG.

When this Bianchi road bike came into the shop, the Campagnolo groupset had some aluminum oxidation, but the function was still there waiting to be revived with new cables, housing, lubricants, and chain.

After scrubbing off years of grime and applying touch up paint to the worst spots, small rusted and broken bits like the downtube cable stops were replaced. Replacing the stem and handlebars provided a more modern level transition to the hoods, and were finished off with new bar tape in, you guessed it, Bianchi Celeste Green.

The goal when rehabbing a classic bike isn’t to make it “brand new” but instead to respect its history while also ensuring the bike will be rideable for years to come.
