What’s in your fat bike’s saddle bag?

Riding fat brings it’s own unique challenges the “fattest” perhaps being how to carry, and fill, a spare tube. While some choose to carry their tools and spare tube in a back pocket or hydration pack, one other option is to use the available real estate on the seat post for storage.

For example, the XL Caddy from Lezyne fits comfortably under the saddle, and attaches quickly and securely to the saddle rails and seat post. A large rear opening provides easy access to the main compartment which contains a multitude of organizational pockets. Two side pockets are perfect for items to which you need quick access.

And what, you may be asking, should you have in your saddle bag? In our bag you will find:

  • Spare tube
  • Lezyne multi-tool – Includes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8mm Allen keys; Philips-head, T25 Torx bits; 3 spoke wrenches: 1x Mavic splined, 2x square sizes, and  stainless steel chain breaker
  • Tire levers
  • Hand pump
  • HammerHead CO2 Tire Inflator
  • 16 gram CO2 cartridges (4)
