At least once a week we find ourselves at Union Point in South Weymouth while our daughter practices with her lacrosse team.

Once home to the South Weymouth Naval Air Station, the 1,440-acre property has miles of former runways which have become a popular spot for walkers, runners, and dogs.

Having explored the area in the past on our gravel bikes, this week we brought our fat bikes for a snow adventure. We were surprised to find the walking paths were perfectly packed (bumpy but no “post holes”) and unexpectedly awesome. During our 6 mile ride, we also found plenty of places to break trail through the fluffy snow, and take a few photos.
