STBG Right Ride Program
From research to ride ready
We get it – with all of the brands, materials, and components, as well as online sales and direct to consumer options available, selecting a new bike can be overwhelming. And it’s easy to buy the wrong bike for the right reason.
Tap into Steve’s expertise for advice, research, and hands-on support when purchasing your next road, gravel, or mountain bike.
With decades of experience and a deep understanding of bikes of all kinds — not just the ones he sells — Steve The Bike Guy is ready to help you find a ride that’s right for you, whether you are buying from STBG, another local shop or an online retailer.
Step 1: Bike Selection
Steve will meet with you in-person or virtually to learn more about where you ride, how you ride and how often, as well as your future goals. We will then review your budget and what is important to you when purchasing your new bike.
Armed with this information, Steve will research available options from top brands and present you with 2 to 3 options you can use to purchase your new bike, including recommended upgrades and where you can buy locally or online (subject to on availability).
Cost $150
This fee will be applied to any bikes purchased from Steve the Bike Guy.
Step 2: Bike Assembly
While we always recommend supporting your local bike shop, there are several popular online brands which only sell direct to consumers. Add to that the many sites selling name brand bikes at a deep discount and it’s easy to understand why you may decide to buy your bike online.
With the STBG Bike Assembly Service you may choose to have your new bike shipped directly to the Shop, where it will be professionally inspected, assembled, and tuned. At that time, Steve can also install any planned upgrades — from a new saddle or components to accessories.
Once ready, you’ll schedule a pickup for final adjustments and take your new bike home.
Cost $150
Plus additional parts and accessories.
