For the fifth year, Steve and Kristin will be joining friends, teammates and other riders at PMC Unpaved, a “gravel bike ride over the scenic backroads of the Berkshires in western Massachusetts to raise funds for Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.”
If all goes as planned, PMC Unpaved will also mark Kristin’s completion of the Pan-Mass Challenge tri-fecta – Winter Cycle, PMC Summer and PMC Unpaved.
Since the first ride in 1980, PMC has raised $1.125 billion, making it the single largest contributor to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. These funds have always been crucial to research efforts that benefit patients well beyond Massachusetts – but with deep cuts to federal funding forcing many other institutions to cancel ongoing studies, fundraisers like PMC are more important than ever.
Our goal is to raise $7,800 in 2026. As members of Team Perry, 100% of donations to Steve and Kristin’s rides are directed towards Perry S. Levy Fund for Gastrointestinal Cancer Research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute which focuses on research on cancer of the gastrointestinal tract which will represent almost 1/4 of all new cancer diagnosis, and 1/3 of the cancer deaths, this year.
