Wet Riding in Walpole

While the kids slept, Steve worked and the cyclocross world focused on Divine Providence, my friend and I took the fat bikes out for a wet ride at Adams Farm in Walpole.

Made up of approximately 365 acres of town-owned land, the Friends of Adams Farm have formed agreements with the New England Forestry Foundation and the Norfolk County Agricultural High School, allowing visitors to also access land in private conversation trusts adjacent to the Farm, resulting in over 700 acres of land ready for exploring.

While damp, the trails were a nice mix of flat gravel and grass, technical “rock gardens,” and trails under the power lines. In short, it was the perfect terrain for our Framed and Surly fat bikes, as well as to work on some of our bike handling skills for cyclocross.
