Steve the Bike Guy will be at the upcoming TDD Triathlon in Douglas on Saturday September 17th, the SheRox Triathlon in Webster on September 25th, and the Wrentham Duathlon on October 30, 2011.
Look for my tent providing services for those last minute fixes, problems, and adjustments. I will also be providing my usual neutral support during the bike leg to help out the misfortunate with flats and breakdowns. If you see my blue Prius loaded with roof and hitch racks and bold NEUTRAL SUPPORT signs, and you need help, please raise your hand so I see you. By the way, the Prius has proven an excellent neutral support vehicle, once averaging 71 mpg while on course and no noticeable tailpipe odors for riders.
I also hope to have some contests and prizes for those who stop by my tent.
The SheRox event has had over 2000 participants in the past. This will be my first year at the event and given the volume of people I expect Sunday morning I anticipate that we may not get to everyone in need. We should be there around 5:30 am and the transition area opens to bikes reportedly at 6:00 am.
