Custom Bikes of All Types
You can chose from pre-built bikes or if off-the-rack just doesn’t suit you, I can create a special bespoke bicycle just for you using parts and components that we individually select. The custom bike allows us to select handlebar shapes and widths, stem lengths, crank lengths, proper tires, the best wheels for your budget, saddle of your preference, plus enhance everything with special color choices.
Perhaps you are dreaming of a new frame or have a special frame at home you want built-up. We can choose from the great selection of Swift Carbon frames or any frame available from any source. Besides my large selection of components to choose from, I will also use internet sources to spec vintage or used components for that classic frame you have hanging in the garage.
On the other hand, maybe you have a an old frame and a few parts lying around that you want to use. Often these can make excellent single speed bikes or a spare foul weather bikes.
Custom doesn’t necessarily have to mean expensive either, and it can be possible to build up a bespoke bike at the same or even less cost than the equivalent bike off the rack especially when dealing with high end components and wheels.
I offer components from Shimano, SRAM, and Campagnolo including the new electronic groups. We’ll match these groups to parts from brands like Ritchey, FSA, Deda, 3T, Easton, Cinelli, and Zipp.
The Wife or Girlfriend Bike
I have a great deal of knowledge (with strong opinions) on buying your significant-other a road bike. It’s especially common for us guys to want their girlfriend or spouse involved with riding, especially road riding, but they are confused on what to look for in a bike. A wrong move here and she may dislike riding and not try again – so getting it right from the start is critical to loving the ride.
A consultation on this topic will not only provide you with great insight on what she’ll need, but you’ll know what to look for in a bike. I’ll provide you with specific features to look for and a list of models at different price points to look at and test in a local shop; or it may be from the internet in some cases. I can also custom assemble a special bike just for her. This gives us control over the components, gearing, saddle, pedals, seatpost setback, stem length and angles, handlebar width, the all-important wheels, and color schemes.
